Not Much To Look At: Artist Talk and Group Discussion
Saturday, February 21, 2015, 2:00 - 4:00pm
What is an ugly painting and how does it feel to set out to make one? Join us for an informal discussion featuring Not Much To Look At artists Amanda Curreri, Maggie Haas, Jennie Ottinger, Erik Parra, George Pfau, Sarah Thibault, Ben Vilmain, and Emily Wick.
Together we will consider some of the challenges and questions generated in the process of creating work for the show, as well as the ideas behind the exhibition theme. Come share your thoughts on what makes a painting ugly, and cast a vote for 3 prize categories, including:
"Flat Out Ugliest Painting"
"Something Only a Mother Could Love"
"Actually I Think it's Beautiful"
