Potluck for Gathering People and Data
Saturday, January 17, 2015, 6:00 - 8:00pm
How do artists interact with Bay Area non-profits, for-profits, and alternative spaces?
Who pays artists and who doesn’t?
What resources and non-monetary benefits make an opportunity worthwhile?
What does the landscape of support for artists in the Bay Area look like?
Royal NoneSuch Gallery is hosting a potluck and data gathering event to support the mission of the Compensation Foundation.
Created by Eleanor Wise, Oliver Wise, and Helena Keeffe, the foundation exists to gather data about how visual artists working in the Bay Area are compensated, what they value most, and what hurdles they face
By contributing to a clearer picture of what's happening here and now, you can help pave the way for a shift in cultural values and expectations. Come and contribute your experiences towards a better infrastructure for self-advocacy for artists.
All this Data will be collected by you filling out an online or paper survey. So...
1.) Bring your laptop to fill out the survey, or a pen to do the same but on paper.
2.) And a yummy dish to share.
